Instead of spreading the series out over five books Ee tried to fit it all into three and while End of Days was a good ending to the series I couldn’t help but think I wanted it to be more. I really enjoyed End of Days but it felt like parts of the story were rushed. At one point I think this series was supposed to be five books, it was reduced to three which was a massive disappointment for me because it meant I’d be getting less Penryn and Raffe. End of Days was my most anticipated read for the first half of 2015 and I have yet to find anything to replace this series in terms of the characters, the story, and the world that has been created. ![]() ![]() ![]() Susan Ee’s Penryn and the End of Days series is another of my all time favourites which has ended this year. ![]()
